ABOUT US

Bethesda Waters Fellowship is a close-knit body of believers in Christ whose goal is to love God from our position in Christ and to love one another.

We are a people who treasure God's Word and enjoy His Presence.

Our Statement of Faith

At BWF, we believe:

I. In one God, manifest in three Persons (the Trinity) - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

II. The Bible is God’s infallible and Holy Word. It is inspired and full of power, hope, and life. It contains the answers to all of mankind's problems.

III. That Jesus Christ is Who He claimed to be - both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a perfect life and was without sin, took all our sins upon Himself, then died and rose from the dead. He is now seated in the place of honor at our Father's right hand as our High Priest and Advocate.

IV. That God is the initiator of a relationship with man (whom He created), and is a good God - desiring the best for man, even though man has chosen to rebel against Him. "We love Him, because He first loved us."

V. That sin has caused a break in the relationship with God, but through the sacrifice of Jesus that relationship can be restored. Salvation is offered by grace through faith as a free gift, and by receiving it, good works come forth in the life of a Believer.

VI. That the Holy Spirit is given to us as the earnest of our inheritance. He comforts us, teaches us all things, guides us, and empowers us. He bestows spiritual gifts in us for the good of the Body of Christ. He causes us to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers Believers to be witnesses in the world.

VII. That water baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus in the life of a Believer. It shows the cleansing effect of salvation and serves as a public demonstration of our faith.

VIII. Communion reveres Jesus’ death and all that was accomplished in it, and serves as a constant reminder of what He has done. "It is finished!" - Jesus' exclamation from the cross just prior to His death.

IX. God wants all nations to hear the Gospel (the Good News), and all people to know Him as Savior. The Church (the Bride of Christ) is to preach Christ in and pray for the world. Christ will return and fulfill all that has been written.

X. God wants Believers to be blessed, restored, healed, and ready/willing to serve.
